Fault isolation, in LG's order
- Owner check from LG's page
- Observation LG asks you to make
- Request service: technician only beyond here
- Code should clear
The checks, with LG's detail
- 1Check the supply hose and the faucet
LG says to confirm the supply hose is connected and the faucet is fully open.
- 2Unfold a pinched or bent supply hose
A pinched hose restricts the fill.
- 3If the faucet or hose is frozen, thaw it
LG says to thaw the faucet with a hot-water towel for about 5 minutes, and to thaw the hose in water at 50 degrees C (122 F) or lower.
- 4Clean the water supply filter
Turn off the faucet, unhook the hose and clean the water supply filter where the hose meets the washer.
- Does IE still appear?
Where to stop
LG's list says the water supply valve may be faulty if these checks do not clear the code, but it gives no owner step for that valve and no service instruction in the IE section itself. Editorial boundary: with the hose, faucet and filter all checked, the next step is to request service through LG support.
Not covered here, on purpose: The water inlet valve and its wiring. LG's list names that valve as a possible fault but does not describe testing or replacing it, and neither does this site. Read when to stop and call a technician.
Same code, different meaning on other brands
None of the other brands in the verified set (Bosch, Samsung, Whirlpool) uses IE or E02/E10 on the official pages read for this site. If your display shows IE on a different brand, do not apply these checks; use the lookup or that brand's own support page.
