Samsung's washer code list says dn means the washer is downloading and installing an update. The controls, including the dial, do not respond while it runs, and Samsung says it takes about 15 minutes.

Samsung's only owner step for dn. Do not cut the power part-way through an update.

Where to stop
Samsung's list says to request service through its Support Center if the code persists for more than 30 minutes while the washer is powered on and there is no Wi-Fi problem.
