Samsung E2: A panel button is stuck or continuously pressed.
Samsung's washer code list says E2 (also shown as bE2 or 6E2, and on some models BE2 or 8E2) is a jammed button error: a panel button is stuck or continuously pressed. Samsung notes that on some models BE2 and 8E2 are a Mems sensor error instead, and says to check the user manual.

The checks, with Samsung's detail
- 1Power the washer off
Samsung lists this first.
- 2Work each button individually
Touch each button one at a time, working it back and forth so you reach all its edges, before releasing it.
- Code back after power-on?
Where to stop
Samsung's list says to request service through its Support Center if a button is damaged, or if the code returns after power-on.
Not covered here, on purpose: The control panel and its button membrane. Samsung's page stops at working each button. Read when to stop and call a technician.
Same code, different meaning on other brands
None of the other brands in the verified set (Bosch, LG, Whirlpool) uses E2 or bE2/6E2/BE2/8E2 on the official pages read for this site. If your display shows E2 on a different brand, do not apply these checks; use the lookup or that brand's own support page.
