Samsung Ub: The load is unbalanced in the tub.
Samsung's washer code list says Ub (also shown as U6, Ur, UE, and on some models dc) is an unbalanced load error. Ur means unbalanced load retry and is informational: the washer adds water, rebalances and retries the spin, which lengthens the cycle. The others mean the cycle will fail to finish. Samsung notes dc is an unbalanced load error on some models and a door error on others.

Fault isolation, in Samsung's order
- Owner check from Samsung's page
- Observation Samsung asks you to make
- Request service: technician only beyond here
- Code should clear
The checks, with Samsung's detail
- 1Untangle and redistribute the laundry
Spread the load evenly around the drum.
- 2Close the door and press Start
Samsung lists this as the second and last owner step.
- Does the code keep recurring?
Where to stop
Samsung's list says that if the error keeps recurring, see its own guide for a washer that will not spin. It gives no direct service instruction in this row. Editorial boundary: the step past that guide is to request service through Samsung's Support Center.
Not covered here, on purpose: The suspension, the drive system and the vibration sensor. Samsung's page stops at redistributing the load. Read when to stop and call a technician.
