Whirlpool F0 E2: Excessive suds were detected in the wash basket.
Whirlpool's page says F0 E2 means the washer detected excessive suds in the wash basket. The washer runs an automatic suds-reduction routine, and Whirlpool says to let it keep running.

The checks, with Whirlpool's detail
- 1Use only High Efficiency (HE) detergent
Whirlpool says non-HE detergent or too much soap can cause excess suds, which may lower the spin speed, leave loads very wet and lengthen the cycle.
- 2Read which light is on with the Sud or Sd display
Whirlpool says that with the Rinse light on, the washer is removing suds, so let the cycle continue. With the Cycle Complete light on, the load may not be fully rinsed or drained, and it suggests selecting a Rinse/Spin cycle for extra rinsing.
- 3Check the bulk dispenser, if the washer has one
Whirlpool says to confirm whether the bulk dispenser is enabled, and if it is, not to add more detergent to the load. It also says to confirm the concentration level is set correctly, because an incorrect setting can cause extra suds.
- Does F0 E2 still appear?
Where to stop
Whirlpool's page says to contact it or schedule service (service.whirlpool.com, whirlpool.com/contact-us), and lists the customer service line 1-866-698-2538 for US owners.
Not covered here, on purpose: The dispenser system and the pressure sensor that measures suds. Whirlpool's owner page stops at detergent and the dispenser setting. Read when to stop and call a technician.
